WHAT IS HOT-MELT INK?

Hot-melt ink is a wax or polymer-based ink that is solid at room temperature and liquid at elevated temperatures. By heating the ink in the ink delivery system and printhead, it can be jetted at high speed and instantly changes back to a solid on impact with the surface. Hot-melt inks are safe, clean and do not bleed or spread on the package material because they contain no VOC’s or oils.
